Gatiflo (gatifloxacin hydrate) was approved in April 2002.
It causes serious poor glycemic control, compared to other antibacterials. Before its approval, data showing the risks already existed.
Thus, in 2006, we requested a cancellation of the approval and a recall of the medicine in use.
