Disclosure of the Reports of Side Effects of Seirogan (creosote)
We requested in 2001, that information be disclosed on the reported side effects of Seirogan (creosote),which is widely used in Japan.
This is the first application for disclosure based on the Freedom of Information Act. At first, the MHLW decided not to disclose the reports, except for only a small part, but the Reviewing Committee on Information Disclosure has held that most of the reports should be disclosed.
