Freedom-of-information requests regarding the minutes of pharmaceutical committees at hospitals
In order to conduct a survey on the function of pharmaceutical committees at hospitals, which evaluate the adoption of specific drugs, we requested 30 pharmaceutical committees to disclose their minutes in 2001.
It turned out that only a few drugs reviewed by the Committee were rejected for approval, and that reviews on effectiveness and safety are barely conducted.
